Exerpt from Ward's email in October. His companion at the time was Elder Smith from Nova Scotia. October 31, 2007:
Montana is fun! We have been doing a lot of good! The ward I am in is just outstanding. The bishop is so fun, and the people are just genuine and good. I really enjoy it!
I do miss our ward though. I miss Batman's lessons about spiritual worms and monkeys:)... I don't know if my Mom sends these letters to him, but everyone better let him know that I remember his lessons in priest quorem!
I'm growing a lot, and I can see how the Lord is changing me. I see my rough edges slowly being worn off by the current of the mission. I'm going to come home a polished, shiny, spiritual stone(haha, I wish!!!).
I got some awesome drawings from the primary kids! I got some really amazing letters from members in the ward back home, and I'm going to respond individually to them! I got a halloween card from Kory Jensen that told me a I was a princess and I was "Tiara-Riffic!" KORY HAS FAT CHEEKS!:)
Pray oft, and read your scriptures!God Bless you all!~Elder Greenhalgh
Well! The work is progressing, we are teaching some great people and families. I'm truely starting to understand that this is my life, and I am a servant of the Lord. Its such a blessing to know that my family is being taken care of by Him and by you all back home! Keep them on the strait and narrow!:)
I love hearing from everyone! You can email me if you want to, and I can answer questions and email you through my parents. So if you would like a personalized email straight from Elder Greenheck(one of the nick names out here) thats the best way to do it! I love letters too!
Elder Smith was transferred in November and Ward's new companion is Elder Barlow.
Exerpt from November 21, 2007
Elder Barlow and I are doing great together! We have fun talks and tracting experiences. Its cool to be companions with someone that you get along with really well. I'm still learning a lot about myself. I'm learning that next week i'm going to be on a MAJOR diet! On Monday, we went to Brother Chris's house. He went to italy on his mission, and there, they would have pasta contests. They would make POUNDS AND POUNDS of spaghetti, and not put any sauce on it. Just butter and salt/parm. So he said that he could do 2 pounds in a half hour. I said "I can beat that!" and he didn't have faith in me SO I MADE HIM HAVE FAITH! TALK ABOUT COMPELLING SOMEONE TO BE HUMBLE! But they didn't anticipate that I could shove that many carbs into my stomach that fast. They only made 3 pounds, and elder barlow was going easy, and by the time he had a whole plate done, i was only my third HEAPING plate. So they had to make more, and i ended up eating 2.5 pounds, but i know i could have done more, at least 3 pounds...
IT WAS FUN! hahaha!
But we have thanksgiving at Al's house(11 A.M.). Then we are probably going to find more people to go eat with at like 1-2 then we are eating at the Ehmans(another famliy) at 4 then we are going to carol(a less active lady) at 530-6 SO WE HAVE A TURKEY PACKED DAY!
The weather is AWESOME!Right now it is 11 degrees, and just perfect! no wind... so we don't really have to wear coats... it feels great to just walk from the car to the library... i love it also, there are like 4 inches of snow on the ground the roads are covered in ice!

Hey Elder Greenhalgh!
Howdy from the McEntire's! We are really enjoying your e-mails and reading about your adventures and the wonderful people you are teaching and baptizing. Sounds like you are doing well with your companions-even the Canadian one! Ha! We are so happy for you Elder and that you are loving the Lord's work. You will have wonderful memories that last a lifetime and just think of all of the stories that you can tell your future kids one day!(I'd leave out the am tree cutting adventure)Anyhow Happy Thanksgiving(belated) sounds like you had plenty to eat. Take good care of yourself and Keep on Tractin'!
May the Lord bless you!
